Classroom Resource Tools
I did some research today on the Global Educator Toolkit and was intrigued by the many resources offered to teachers for classroom support. The resource I chose to research further was Belouga.
Belouga is described on the Toolkit as a "host for online, interactive lessons on global topics that are searchable by content area or Sustainable Development Goal. Student input on questions embedded in the lessons is shared and compared globally, giving students insight into the views of peers around the world". I took the tour of the site to see what was offered and if it was something that could be utilized in a K-6 grade setting, and I was pleased. Belouga offers class lessons in a range of topics that can be added to students chromebooks. I decided to search for my choice for the SDG project Quality Education, and as you can see below there are videos, lessons, and online worksheets to further a student's education on this topic. I also attached a video from Ms. Malala Yousafzai from the lesson plans on Belouga.
In the future I will be using Belouga for my SDG project as well with my students as I develop a routine in my own classroom.
