7 Accessibility Tools

7 Accessibility Tools that could help with student learning are :

  1. Voice Access- Controls the device with spoken commands. This is good for students with motor disabilities. No need to touch the screen, just speak in a loud, clear voice and state a command.
  2. Transcribe: This helps students with disabilities, especially those who are deaf or hard of hearing, by transcribing what is being said in real time.
  3. Audiobooks- This allows students to listen to stories with animation and passion. The student gets to listen and also follow along.
  4. Google Translate: This can help students who struggle with English. This will translate the English word to another language and vice versa. This will help the student understand the reading.
  5. Grammarly- Helps correct spelling and grammar, and it also gives suggestions to improve the student's paper.
  6. Closed Captions: Support students who are deaf and hard of hearing, and also help them learn to read better by reading along.
  7. Text-to-Speech: It reads digital text aloud to students. This helps those who struggle with reading fluency.
